- Story
- "A young boy came to us, he was maybe three years older than me. He told us that when they came to Treblinka, they opened the trains. And there one kapo knew him, and this kapo says: Heniek Rosen, you won't stay here. He gave him an idea of what to do. He helped him hide in the clothes being loaded onto the train. And Heniek somehow managed to jump off the train on the way. And a few weeks, two or three weeks later, he showed up in a small ghetto. He came through the forest. He told us this story, and no one wanted to believe it. [...] Heniek had to run away again, because he was afraid. He got a warning: you'd better go, because if you don't, the Gestapo will pick you up for causing panic." Heniek survived the war.
